How to get around:
- fly to Taipei from anywhere in the world.
- there are high-speed trains running frequently between major cities all around the island.
- If you want to visit smaller towns on the East Coast: it’s local trains and busses. Don’t trust timetables on Google Maps too much. **of course cycling is a must here too.
- In the cities, use metro or buses.
