Sziget – Island of Freedom

One of the world’s largest music festivals is actually so much more than a music festival. Every year in August the Obudai island in the Danube river in Budapest turns into the Island of Freedom for a week. This international revolution of love might be the closest thing to Woodstock there is today.

Japan’s greatest treasure

Though I got to see the snow monkeys during my first trip to Japan in 2018, I did not manage to jump in to the “Onsen” myself. Tattoo issues and hangovers successfully prevented Tina & I from visiting the public baths. So when I went back to Japan in 2019, I was determined to make it happen. And which place is better than the south western most main island Kyushu. It’s two big and still active volcanoes Aso & Sakurajima fuel the many hot spring resorts.
